Removal Of Hip Tumors And Masses
Intra-articular hip tumors are rare; however, in rare cases, benign or malignant masses may develop in the joint. These tumors can cause persistent symptoms and chronic pain in the hip joint. Following detailed imaging evaluations and, in many cases, guided biopsy, a decision may be made to remove these tumors. Arthroscopy allows access to the joint and facilitates the safe removal of these masses without requiring an extensive open hip surgery.
